Pro Bono Engineering Services Available for Almeda Wildfire-Impacted Businesses

A local group of construction industry professionals (including principals of several of the leading construction management and engineering firms in the Rogue Valley) have come together to support regional recovery from the Almeda Fire. Among other efforts, several of the participants would like to provide some pro bono support to businesses impacted by the fires as they make plans to rebuild. These challenges disproportionately harm women, Black, Indigenous and other people of color (BIPOC) in the Construction industry. Positive jobsite culture, which provides a workplace free from harassment and discrimination, is good for the industry’s long term success and sustainability: it minimizes work stoppages and lost time, improves performance, supports safety protocols, enhances employee engagement, supports retention of a skilled workforce, increases health and wellness of workers and increases overall productivity.
